Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Roswell Police are investigating a two-vehicle accident in Roswell last night that killed one person and sent others to the hospital. The initial investigation reports that one car was traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on North Union Avenue when the driver apparently lost control. The car struck an SUV nearly head-on on Union Avenue near the intersection with West 19th Street. The car’s passengers, four local teenagers, two girls and two boys were transported to the hospital where one girl was pronounced dead. Two occupants in the SUV were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Charges are pending as this is an ongoing investigation.
