TO’HAJIILEE, N.M. — A suspect is in custody after two Navajo Nation Police officers were shot Friday in To’hajiilee, according to Crownpoint officials.
Both officers were taken to University of New Mexico Hospital. Their conditions have not been released.
Police say the shooting happened in the Navajo Housing area, which remains restricted as officers continue to investigate. Authorities are asking the public to avoid the area.
