Bernalillo, NM (KKOB) – A murder investigation continues in the Town of Bernalillo. Police report that the shooting death happened near I-25, on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers responded to the 300 block of Avenida Bernalillo after receiving reports of a shooting victim.
The person who was killed in the shooting has been identified as Lawrence Castillo. No other details of the victim have been released.
New Mexico State Police assisted the Bernalillo Police Department at the scene during the first hours of the investigation.
Bernalillo police say the murder is in the early stages of the investigation.
