Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –A road rage incident on Tuesday has led to an APD Impact Task Force investigation. The investigation has resulted in the seizure of several firearms and narcotics. Officers responded to a road rage reported on Tuesday by a victim who said a male suspect threatened him with a handgun and drove away in a white Ford F150. Officers located the vehicle using an automated license plate reader in the area of the incident. The vehicle was registered to Francisco Solis. Solis admitted to be being involved in a road rage incident, but told officers he had pointed a pair of pliers at the victim. A search of Solis’ home resulted in the seizure of 5 handguns, 17 magazines to various firearms, over 1400 rounds of ammunition, various drugs and drug paraphernalia. Solis, a convicted felon is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, five counts of felon in possession of a firearm and 4 counts of possession of narcotics. He was booked into MDC and remains in custody.
