Santa Fe, NM (KKOB) – State Police says they’ve identified the man who allegedly shot a rifle at an officer during a traffic stop on highway 285 near Vaughn. Fortunately the officer was not hurt.
The man is identified as 39-year old Jovan Abrían Martinez and the female was identified as 25-year old Makaela Johnson who was reportedly a passenger in Martinez’s vehicle.
State police Investigators say the suspects’ phones last pinged near Fort Sumner.
DeBaca County Crimestoppers is offering a $7,000 reward for information leading to the suspects’ conviction.
Martinez has a long criminal history going back to when he was a juvenile. Authorities say they were last known to be in the Fort Sumner area in a Kia with Texas plate XMX8165. People area warned to not approach and Call 911 immediately if seen.
