Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Thirty two oil and gas parcels totaling over 21,000 acres may be included in an August 2026 lease sale by the Bureau of Land Management. The acreage includes areas in northern and southern NM in the Four Corners region just north of Farmington, near Piedra Vista High School, and 2,000 acres near Carlsbad. A 30 day scoping period has begun and will end on March 23rd. Public review is open for New Mexicans to share their opinions by going to the BLM’s website, eplanning.blm.gov.
