An APD officer on patrol near 11th street and Central on Saturday attempted to stop a vehicle for not having a visible license plate. Court records indicate the officer tried to stop Ruben Sernas but Sernas failed to comply. Other officers and air support were called in to track Sernas and located him driving fast and aggressively on I 25. Officers eventually located him near Montoya and Thompson Road Northwest. Sernas was booked into MDC on numerous charges including driving under the influence, reckless driving, and aggravated fleeing of an officer.
