Alamogordo, NM (KKOB)- One adult male and two teens are in custody in connection with a shooting that occurred January 23rd at the Town and Country trailer park in Alamogordo. Two males were in a vehicle and were shot at while at the trailer park. The driver tried to take himself to the hospital but was involved a crash at the intersection of Cuba and 10th Street. At last report, the 17-year old gunshot victim was in stable condition at the hospital.
On Thursday, February 5, 2026, 19-year-old Jorge Negrete of Alamogordo, NM, was arrested on a Magistrate Court Warrant for:
• Conspiracy to Commit Murder or, in the alternative,
o Aggravated Battery (Deadly Weapon) (Firearm Enhancement)
• Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor
A 14-year-old male was also arrested on a Children’s Court District Warrant for:
• Attempted Murder or, in the alternative,
o Aggravated Battery (Firearm Enhancement)
Additionally, on Friday, February 6, 2026, a 15-year-old male was arrested on a Children’s Court District Warrant for:
• Attempt to Commit Murder or, in the alternative,
o Aggravated Battery (Deadly Weapon) (Firearm Enhancement)
• Conspiracy to Commit Attempted Murder or, in the alternative,
o Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Battery (Deadly Weapon) (Firearm Enhancement).
Negrete was taken into custody and transported to Otero County Detention Center.
Both male juveniles were taken to a juvenile detention facility.
