Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – As we know the City of Albuquerque, has begun its search for a new police chief and now you have an opportunity to give input into what type of chief the city should hire.
An online survey is now available for you to provide feedback, and there will be three public input sessions hosted virtually on Zoom.
The Zoom meeting dates will be over three days, starting next Wednesday, Jan. 28 through Friday, Jan. 30.and are for various groups:
- Advocates: Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026 from 6-7 p.m.
- Community Leaders: Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026 from 6-7 p.m.
- Criminal Justice System Stakeholders: Friday, Jan. 30, 2026 from 11 a.m. to noon
Cecily Barker, was named interim chief after Harold Medina retired and has said she will apply for the job.
