Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Doraelia Espinoza of Albuquerque took a plea deal in court Wednesday. Bernalillo County Deputies say Espinoza was responsible for the death of her child in 2022 after months of neglect. Deputies say she took the girl to the University of New Mexico Hospital, but it was clear she had been dead for some time. Investigators say the girl was badly malnourished and her room was filled with flies, feces and blood. Espinoza pleaded no contest to child abuse, and her sentencing is still underway
