According to a press release, APD spokesperson Gilbert Gallegos said that while investigating the shooting, detectives located several police reports related to Summer Coughran. One previous report, stated she was diagnosed as having Schizophrenia. During that previous call to the home, the father told officers that she may have been off her medication, and he declined to press charges against her.
