Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – A Bernalillo County jury on Friday convicted Lucas Miltenberger of multiple counts of sexual abuse, including criminal sexual penetration of a child, intimidation of a witness and child abuse.
According to court documents and an investigation by New Mexico State Police, between 2016 to 2023 Miltenberger repeatedly sexually abused the boys while he was in a position of trust and authority for the boys. The initial complaint was filed in February of 2023 involving one boy to the Albuquerque Police Department.
The case was turned over to NMSP when it was determined that the crimes had happened in multiple jurisdictions. NMSP then found a second victim in the case.
Miltenberger faces 91 1/2 years in the New Mexico Corrections Department. Sentencing will take place at a later date.
