Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – An Albuquerque man who was on trial for stabbing and killing a man onboard an ABQ Ride bus was found guilty by a jury on Thursday of voluntary manslaughter.
19-year old Charles Madrid stabbed and killed 43-year old Adrian Marthell after an altercation that involved other riders onboard the bus. Marthell, was stabbed in the neck and died onboard the bus near Central and Coors BLVD. Investigators reported that Madrid who was on his way to school, got off the bus after the stabbing and went to the charter school where he was a student and told staff he had gotten into a fight and later asked for a ride home. He was arrested at his home.
