Santa Fe, NM (KKOB) – A 33-year old Santa Fe woman is in jail this morning following a Thursday morning SWAT call in Santa Fe.
April Little was taken into custody by SWAT officers after they forced entry into her home in the area of Villeros St. and St. Francis Drive. St. Francis was closed for several hours in that location.
Officers were on the scene at 2:40 AM and made contact with the woman at her home but she refused to leave and instead injured an officer after throwing a sledgehammer at officers from her balcony and barricaded herself inside.
Police were told that there were multiple weapons inside the home which was the decision to have the police department’s SWAT officers intervene. Little remains in jail on multiple charges. No other injuries were reported.
