Albuquerque, NM (KKOB)- Westbound Interstate 40 near mile marker 176 in the Tijeras area is shutdown due to a pedestrian fatality. According to BCSO, deputies were sent to that location in reference to a pedestrian who was struck by a dump truck. Deputies made life saving efforts on the victim at the scene but the victim, an adult male, died on the scene.
All westbound traffic on Interstate 40 is stopped and being diverted off the interstate at the Zuzax exit (exit 178).
