Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – A Houston Texas man, could face up to 30-years in prison after admitting to stealing more than $160, 000 in federal unemployment funds from New Mexico during the COVID-19 pandemic.
46-year old Marc Long, pleaded guilty in federal court to two counts each of wire fraud, mail fraud and theft of government property. In his plea agreement, Long says that from July 2020 to February 2021, he submitted fraudulent unemployment claims applications online through the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions.
