ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO – ’Tis the season for dazzling lights! Across Albuquerque and New Mexico, homes and events are lighting up the holidays with spectacular displays. Here are some of the brightest spots to check out:
McCord Light Display
Chris McCord—known as “Mr. Christmas”—has transformed his home into a winter wonderland with more than 50,000 lights, inflatables, and music. Visitors can also drop off food and toy donations for local families.

River of Lights
One of New Mexico’s most popular holiday traditions, the River of Lights at the ABQ BioPark features 700 glowing sculptures along a 1.6-mile path. Expect animated and 3D displays that make this an immersive experience for all ages.

Neighborhood Displays
Several Albuquerque neighborhoods are going all out this season:
- Kathryn Avenue & Kathryn Circle – Southeast Albuquerque homes shining with festive cheer
- Waterford Place – Trujillo’s Winter Wonderland, complete with canned food donations and letters to Santa
- Grinchmas House – A green-lit home where the Grinch greets visitors
Beyond Albuquerque
- Rio Rancho – Homes on Anitori Drive are lighting up the night
- Grants – An interactive display featuring Santa and the Grinch is a local favorite
