Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – Just before midnight Tuesday, Albuquerque Fire Rescue was dispatched to an abandoned commercial building at 108 Vassar Dr SE and Central Ave for reports of a structure fire. After battling the flames and because the building had a history of a previous fire, firefighters had to switch to a defensive fire strategy which required several aerial equipment in order to put out the large fire. While no injuries were reported the building was left with very significant damage. The cause of fire is undetermined. The building was on fire previously on November 27th.
