Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – Bernalillo County Fire and Rescue, is mourning the death of one of their own. Firefighter Richard Hollingshead III, was killed on Friday in an off-duty motorcycle accident. Hollingshead III, was just 21-years old and had been a member of Bernalillo County Fire and Rescue since last year. Fire and Rescue spokesperson William Harris told the Albuquerque Journal, that Hollingshead III was a “vibrant kid” who enjoyed riding motorcycles and staying in shape. He was also very willing to help others at the fire academy and “that transferred into his career.”
BCFR is providing support and resources to its members such as counseling and so far memorial services are pending.
