ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO – ABQ RIDE is adjusting its bus service for the holiday season and winter break. Route 790, which serves the Westside and University area, is paused from Monday, Dec. 15 through Monday, Jan. 12, 2026.
Christmas Eve – Wednesday, Dec. 24
- Most ABQ RIDE buses operate normally but end around 9 p.m.
- Sun Van: 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- ABQ RIDE Connect: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- No service on Routes 97, 140, 198 (ABQ RIDE Connect can substitute for Route 198)
- Route 66 and 141: Every 30 minutes, last trips at 8 p.m.
- Routes 5, 8, 10, 11, 31, 54, 155, 157, 766, 777: Regular weekday service, last trips at 8 p.m.
- Routes 1, 2, 16, 50, 51, 53: Regular weekday schedule
Christmas Day – Thursday, Dec. 25
- No bus service
- Customer Service windows at Alvarado Transportation Center closed
New Year’s Eve – Wednesday, Dec. 31
- No regular weekday bus service
New Year’s Day – Thursday, Jan. 1
- No bus service
- Customer Service windows closed
Regular bus service will be available on Friday, Dec. 26 and Friday, Jan. 2.
