Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) -A nationwide theft ring across 11 states came to a halt last week as the suspects were finally caught in Rio Rancho. The arrests were made outside a Rio Rancho Walmart where police said three men were trying to steal items posing as delivery drivers. Investigators working for Walmart called 9 1 1 to report a group was possibly going to steal from the store. Court records show Deshawn Jaynes, Marc Smith, and Alexander Paredes were posing as Spark delivery drivers showing Walmart employees images on their phones to make it look like they were picking up an order. In addition to Rio Rancho the trio had hit a Walmart in Grants and two in Albuquerque on December 10th. Police said the group was involved in at least 30 incidents at Walmart stores in 11 states. The three were booked into the Sandoval County Detention Center with each facing organized retail crime charges.
