Clovis, NM (KKOB) – The son of a Clovis couple is in custody for the murder of his parents. 19-year old Darren Muñoz and another man, were arrested by authorities in Clovis after his parents were found inside the home by police. 71-year old Dina Muñoz was dead when police arrived and 58-year old Oscar Muñoz was still alive and taken to a Lubbock, Texas hospital where he died. The Clovis police Major Crimes Unit, says both victims appeared to have severe head injuries.
Another man, 18-year old Julio Zamora was also arrested and charged with the murder of Muñoz’s parents. Munoz is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, conspiracy and criminal solicitation. Zamora faces related murder and conspiracy charges, both remain in the Curry County jail.
