Albuquerque City Councilor Brook Bassan is accusing the city attorney of unethical conduct. And Bassan is calling for an investigation into the matter. It all stems from a vote the city council had in February over staffing requirements at Albuquerque Fire Rescue which resulted in litigation between the Keller administration and the council. Bassan said City Attorney Lauren Keefe had to recuse herself from the case because she represents the Mayor and the council leaving both sides to hire outside attorneys. Bassan believes Keefe was working with the attorneys the administration hired. The investigation request will be up for a vote at the first city council meeting next year.
