Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — After torturing and and killing a man in December 2024, Preston Ball pled guilty to multiple charges in an Albuquerque courtroom. After receiving a video of a burning car, authorities began their investigation. In that car’s trunk a man’s body was recovered. Police traced the suspects to a home where they found a shed with blood splattered inside. Through interviews, detectives learned that Ball suspected the victim had stolen from him and his friends. Authorities say Ball admitted to torturing the victim for hours before killing him and disposing the body in the burning car, with the assistance of three accomplices. Balls sentencing hearing has been set for January.
