Albuquerque, NM (KKOB)- The owner of a Nob Hill bookstore, will have to pay the fines the city imposed for letting homeless people camp on their parking lot. A judge, ruled Gillam Kerley, owner of the Quirky Books, who received a $1,500 fine, will have to pay the fines after the city and nearby business owners claim that allowing the homeless to camp in the parking lot is illegal and dangerous.
Recently a murder happened outside the bookstore. A hearing on the emergency petition to remove the homeless is scheduled for next month.
