SANTA FE, N.M. — Santa Fe Police Department has released security camera video they say shows 46‑year‑old Anthony Quezada burglarizing the First Presbyterian School and Church Sunday night.
According to police, a Ring camera alerted bystanders to movement in the church basement. Officers responded and arrested Quezada as he was leaving the building with a cart loaded with church property, including a Craftsman toolbox, tool bags, hand tools and electrical equipment.
Investigators say Quezada gained access by breaking a window and also attempted to enter a staff member’s vehicle. He’s now charged with two counts each of burglary and criminal property damage, as well as assault on a peace officer and resisting, evading or obstructing law enforcement.
Police noted this isn’t Quezada’s first time in trouble—he has multiple previous arrests related to similar offenses.
