Albuquerque, N.M. — Several Albuquerque Public Schools have shown significant improvement in academics and student performance, earning removal from the state’s oversight list.
Nine schools are now in “good standing” based on results from the 2024–2025 school year:
- Armijo Elementary
- Ernie Pyle Middle School
- Jefferson Middle School
- Jimmy Carter Middle School
- John Adams Middle School
- Kit Carson Elementary
- Lavaland Elementary
- Pajarito Elementary
- Sombra del Monte Elementary
APS Superintendent Gabriella Blakey praised the achievement, saying, “We’re proud of the staff and students at each of these schools for their hard work and for moving the needle on academic performance.”
