Albuquerque, N.M. — The Multi-Agency Task Force is investigating a law enforcement shooting that happened Wednesday on Central Avenue in Albuquerque.
According to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, the incident began during a traffic stop involving several people inside a vehicle. Deputies detained the driver, but a passenger ran from the scene. Deputies pursued, and gunfire followed.
The suspect was taken to a hospital and remains in critical condition. No deputies were injured.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
