Bernalillo County, N.M. — Residents celebrating Halloween this weekend can get home safely with help from the “Take a Ride on Us” program, which is offering free Uber rides across Bernalillo, Sandoval, and Santa Fe counties.
From 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31 through 2 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3, users can redeem up to two free rides by entering the code HALLOW25 in the Uber app under the “Vouchers” section. Each ride is eligible for up to $10 off, and the offer is limited to 1,500 rides on a first-come, first-served basis. The discount applies only to Uber rides and does not cover Uber Eats orders or driver tips.
The initiative is a public-private partnership created by Cumulus Media Albuquerque and supported by Bernalillo County, Sandoval County, Santa Fe County, Glasheen Valles & Inderman Injury Lawyers, Sandia Resort & Casino, and the New Mexico Department of Transportation.
Since its launch in 2017, “Take a Ride on Us” has provided more than 63,000 safe rides in the Albuquerque metro area, helping reduce impaired driving during holidays and major events. Bernalillo County contributes annually to the program using funds from state liquor excise taxes.
