A large fire broke out Wednesday afternoon near Downtown Albuquerque, sending thick black smoke into the sky and prompting a swift response from emergency crews. The smoke was visible from I-40 and Sixth Street, with our very own Natassja Leyba at the dramatic scene. The fire appears to have started in a building in the area, though the cause and extent of the damage remain unknown.
