Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — A Bernalillo County Sheriff’s deputy was driving 30 miles per hour over the speed limit when he rear-ended a woman’s car, sending it into a wall and killing her. Now, the woman’s family is suing. The crash happened in August 2024 in northeast Albuquerque. The lawsuit claims Deputy Brian Lassley violated policy by pursuing Alexandria Gerard without lights or sirens. Gerard’s family is also suing Sheriff John Allen and Bernalillo County.
