ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – As SNAP benefits are expected to expire on Saturday, November 1, dozens of local restaurants across New Mexico are stepping up to support families by offering free meals to children. From hotdogs and pizza to breakfast sandwiches and grilled cheese, participating businesses say the goal is simple: make sure no child goes hungry while benefits are paused. Most offers require children to be present, and no purchase is necessary.
Participating Restaurants Include:
- Urban Hotdog – Free Classic Starter Hotdog for kids starting Nov. 1
- Richie B’s – Free 1-topping pizza slice for kids 12 and under
- The Yeller Sub Restaurant – Free kids’ meal with “Got Your Back Kids” special
- The Le Bakery – Free Cheesy Bread or Egg Sandwich, made fresh daily
- Meraki Coffee+Market – Free breakfast sandwich, no questions asked
- Tasty Pot – Free kids meals including Panda Chicken, Popcorn Chicken, and more
- Burrow Cafe – Free oatmeal, eggs, or kid-sized crepes
- The Hopper Pub & Pizzeria – Free small kids pizza
- The Homestead Cafe – Free sandwich, drink, and snack for kids
- Rio Grande Social – Free cheese pizza for school-aged children
- El Muchacho Allegre – Free tacos or corn dog & fries
- Mrs. Sprinkles Ice Cream – Free mini scoop with sprinkles
- Say Cheese – Free grilled cheese and chips
- Tacos Pita – Free meals for kids and elders daily from 12–7 p.m.
- Dough Daddy’s Delights – Free pizza pasta dinner Mondays & Wednesdays
- Great Harvest Bread – Free PBJ, ham, or turkey sandwich with cookie and chips
- Flamez Fusion – Free kids meals, one per child
- Chicken Salad Chick – Free dine-in kids meals at both locations
These offers will continue until SNAP benefits are restored. Families are encouraged to check with individual restaurants for hours and availability.
