ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A shooting in Northeast Albuquerque has prompted road closures as police continue their investigation.
According to the Albuquerque Police Department, a man was shot near Carlisle Boulevard just north of Candelaria Road. He was transported to a local hospital. His condition has not been released.
As part of the investigation, officers have closed northbound Carlisle at Candelaria and westbound Candelaria east of the intersection. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
The Gun Violence Reduction Unit is leading the investigation. No suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been made at this time.
