ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A fire early Tuesday morning caused damage to the Hinkle Family Fun Center in northeast Albuquerque.
According to Albuquerque Fire Rescue, crews were dispatched at 1:54 a.m. to the facility on Indian School Road NE after an automatic fire alarm was triggered. Engine 8 arrived to find smoke showing and called for a full commercial structure response.
Firefighters quickly worked to contain the flames, which were mostly limited to the bell tower on the east side of the building. The fire was brought under control within 25 minutes. Damage was reported inside the structure near the bell tower, along with fire damage to signage on the exterior.
No injuries were reported. AFR’s fire investigators responded to the scene, but the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
