Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Tuesday, Mayor Tim Keller signed off on the “Patch Program”. The program is part of a citywide effort to keep low-income people in their homes. PATCH is short for “Preserving Albuquerque Through Critical Housing” and serves to make it possible for eligible households to have urgent work done that they would not otherwise be able to afford. The initiative was approved by the city council on Sept. 15th, but has not yet been funded. If it is, it’s expected to launch in 2026. Applicants will need to show they have a low income and live in an underserved neighborhood.
