ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Every Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM, head to Smokin’ Joe’s at 300 Yale Blvd SE for one of Albuquerque’s most vibrant new fall traditions — the Food n Find Market and Sunset Cinema.
Located just two blocks from UNM and CNM, students can show their ID for discounts on food. The event features free family-friendly activities including:
- Yoga with @leafandlotusyoga
- Tie dye with @peace_justice_center
- Goblin jar crafts with @traedahl
- Slime workshops from @celebrate_abq
- Trick-or-treating and board games at picnic tables
Snack on New Mexico favorites like fresh roasted Hatch green chile from @magos_farm and the legendary State Fair green chile corn dog on a stick — served outside the fair for the first time in 50 years.
The event is free and open to all, supporting local businesses and the Celebrate Albuquerque Foundation. Come make midweek memories with friends, family, and neighbors.
Celebrate Albuquerque Foundation is pushing a grassroots plan to transform underused spaces across the city. Their pilot program, Lots Reimagined, aims to activate vacant lots through cultural events and local markets. So far, they’ve worked with more than 200 vendors. The foundation says long-term success depends on collaboration with city departments and private partners. Their vision includes permanent housing and care centers, built through community-led development.
