Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The city’s Metropolitan Redevelopment Agency is working with the Piru Group on a proposal that would install a total of 42 modular housing units throughout vacant lots in the city. The group is calling these one bedroom homes, ‘the future of housing.’ In partnership with Boxabl, the units are built out of Las Vegas, Nevada. Adding, they would be able to put three to four structures per day. The homes will be reserved for households earning at or below 60% area median income. The Piru Group says the project could be complete by 2026.
