Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Mechanical helpers are on duty at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center . Officials from the facility report that robots are helping doctors perform minimally invasive surgeries. The new equipment features a 3-D guided vision system, and micro instruments that can bend and rotate beyond the limits of the human hand, helping surgeries have less cuts. And that leads to less healing time and better accuracy. Doctors say not all patients are candidates for robotic surgery versus a traditional operation.
