Jessica Brusuelas
Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Jessica Brusuelas, one of the parents facing charges in the death of their 3 month old baby girl went before Judge Bruce Fox today for a detention hearing. According to court documents, the infant suffered a fractured skull, multiple brain hemorrhages, and severe bruising. The baby died last week. The prosecution argued the baby suffered from long term abuse though Brusuelas’ attorney argued she was also a victim of abuse and should be released. Judge Fox ruled Brusuelas held until trial. The baby’s father, Jonathan Castillo has a pre-trial detention hearing later today.
