Community members will have a chance to hear directly from candidates running for the Albuquerque Public Schools Board of Education during a public forum on Wednesday.
APS is hosting the event at 5:30 p.m. at the Alice and Bruce King Educational Complex, located at 6400 Uptown Boulevard NE. The forum will also be livestreamed and posted to the APS Board of Education YouTube channel.
Nine candidates are running for four board seats in Districts 3, 5, 6, and 7. Each candidate will answer the same set of questions, with similar submissions combined to allow for a broader range of topics.
Elected board members will begin four-year terms on January 1. Early voting begins October 7, and Election Day is November 4.
