Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — A Georgia man, Rainor Joiner, will be held behind bars until trial for the murder and dismemberment of army veteran Matthew McLaughlin near Taos. Chief Judge Emilio Chavez said on Tuesday, the state presented substantial evidence to support charges of first degree murder and other felonies against Joiner. Prosecutor Jonathan Gardner’s evidence included a detailed confession Joiner made to the Taos County Sheriff’s office.
