
Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — A Bernalillo County grand jury has issued an indictment against 26 year old April Guadalupe Hernandez. The charges include: 19 counts of misconduct including identity theft, nursing without a license, fraud totaling approximately $40,000, abuse of a resident, and violations of the Nursing Practice Act. The Albuquerque based certified nurse assistant is accused of allegedly stealing the identities of three nurses and illegally providing care to hospice patients, and in one case, almost causing one patient to die via a morphine overdose. If convicted on all counts, Hernandez could face up to 27 years in prison.
