Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — A big announcement in Ruidoso, just after the Secretary of Homeland Security came for a visit earlier this week. New disaster funding has been released for the area. Ruidoso Deputy Village Manager Michael Martinez says 11-point-4 million will fund projects related to the South Fork and Salt Fires. Also discussed at the visit on Wednesday – funding for permanent projects to address problems like flash flooding…and Martinez says the secretary is committed to helping with those projects too.
