ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred overnight in the northeast part of the city.
Officers responded to the 6000 block of Barnhart Drive NE, just north of Harper Drive, where they found an adult male inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. Residents in the area attempted life-saving measures before emergency personnel arrived, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation. No suspect information has been released, and police have not confirmed whether the shooting was targeted or random.
