ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque Fire Rescue crews were called out early Tuesday morning to a fire near San Mateo Boulevard and Zuni Road.
When firefighters arrived, they found flames from an outside fire reaching a nearby home. Concerned that someone might be trapped inside, crews quickly searched the building using specialized rescue techniques. Fortunately, no one was found inside.
Additional units helped bring the fire under control. Officials say most of the damage was limited to the outside of the structure, with only minor damage reported inside.
No firefighters were hurt, and one person was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Fire investigators are now working to figure out what caused the fire.
