Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The University of New Mexico Bookstores is launching a two-year pilot program called the “UNM Course Materials Access Program.” Beginning in this semester, all undergraduate students will automatically be enrolled in the program ensuring they receive all required digital and physical course materials, including required kits for any program, such as art and architecture, at a fixed price of $279 per semester for the 2025-2026 academic year. The last few years, UNM faculty have had the option of using Open Educational Resources materials in their courses, which provides faculty members with the support they need to adopt, adapt, and create low- and no-cost textbook and class materials. The rate will be reevaluated annually based on the cost of course materials adopted by faculty, campus and course enrollment, as well as the mix of course materials.
