Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — New school year – a new back pack, …and in Bernalillo schools the backpacks are clear for 4th graders up to high school. Superintendent Matt Montano says its a safety measure. Some parents are upset with the new plan – in particular because the final decision on which grades would have to use the backpacks wasn’t made until right before school started. The district has clear back packs for students to use, if they haven’t gotten them.
