Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –The Los Lunas Fire Department has a newly installed vending machine that offers free Narcan and gun locks to the community. Fire Chief John Gabaldon says that although they hope no one will ever need it, it’s important to have Narcan and locks available. In partnership with the “Women in Leadership” organization, the items are offered at no cost. Gabaldon says they were approached to host the idea and couldn’t say no. Adding, while overdoses are common, they haven’t seen an uptick. Regardless, he says they want to be part of the solution.
