
Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The University of New Mexico’s emergency siren system is currently offline while it is being relocated to a new building, a process which is expected to take approximately two weeks. The system is being moved from the Humanities Building, which is scheduled for demolition, to a new permanent location at the Student Union Building. The University says its emergency notification system remains fully operational, with the exception of the siren being offline. If an emergency does occur on campus, UNM will continue to send alerts through various sources such as: text and emails and social media channels
