
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque police have released new details about a fatal crash involving a pedestrian Tuesday night in the city’s southwest area.
The crash happened around 8:38 p.m. at the intersection of 86th Street NW and Central Avenue W. According to a preliminary investigation, a white Ford F-150 was traveling westbound on Central when it struck a pedestrian who was in the roadway.
The driver remained at the scene and spoke with detectives. The pedestrian was pronounced dead by medical personnel. Their identity has not yet been released.
The Albuquerque Police Department’s Fatal Crash Investigation Unit responded to the scene and collected evidence. The investigation remains ongoing.
